Seesaw

At Taabinga State School we use the Seesaw Platform. Seesaw is a secure online digital portfolio which allows parents a window into their child's day. It connects families to the school to see student work and celebrate success. Only you are able to see your child's work. Parents play a vital role in student success at school and Seesaw serves to engage families in conversations on student learning.

Teachers & admin will also out some send important announcements via Seesaw.

Seesaw is not to be used as a messenger platform for teachers, please email your child's teacher or call to arrange a time to speak to teacher.

Seesaw is available online, an android app or an apple app

With class teacher or principal

At Taabinga State School we pride ourselves on clear communication with students and families regarding all aspects of the school.  We encourage parents and teachers to communicate regularly.  Teachers are always the first point of contact for students and families to maximise the learning relationship. It is desirable that an appointment be made to ensure that information required is gathered and staff members are available.

School parade

Parade is held each Monday afternoon at 2.25pm. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Webpage and Facebook

Information about our school can also be found on our webpage or on the school's Facebook page.

Report cards are issued at the end of each semester, in June and December.

Parent/Teacher meetings

Parent/Student/Teacher 3-way conferences are conducted twice per year. This provides parents and carers an extended and in-depth opportunity to view their child's work and to discuss what the next steps are for their learning. This is booked via SOBS, information will be sent to parents with a booking link prior to interviews.
