Taabinga State School students must wear the full school uniform at all times, unless directed otherwise - camps, free dress days etc.

Our uniform reinforces our sense of team and it is expected that all students at Taabinga State School wear their full school uniform every day within the school grounds and represents the school proudly when off campus.

A Year 6 shirt, is designed by students each year to commemorate their last year of primary schooling. Students may wear senior shirts on school days. On formal occasions, students must wear their school uniform shirt.

House Sports shirts and School Sports Representative shirts may be worn on Fridays and sports days (unless it is a formal occasion).

Logos on jumpers or leggings are not permitted. Please ensure your child has a plain, maroon jumper when the weather cools. Jumpers are not to have any other logos apart from the school logo.

All items are to be labelled clearly with the student’s name.

Our school uniform is available through our Tuckshop, Qkr! or order form at the office.

Jackets with hoods are not acceptable at school.

Skivvies can be worn under school shirts – must be black or maroon

Girls may wear black or maroon tights.

Gloves, scarves and beanies must be in school colours.

SunSmart Policy

As a Sun Safe School, hats are to be worn at all times when children are outdoors.

Baseball style caps are not acceptable. Taabinga State School’s policy is NO HAT NO PLAY.

Hats are not able to be borrowed from the office due to health reasons.

The school tuckshop sells a reversible bucket hat that has the house colours on the inside.

These hats are sold through the school office or at the tuckshop.

Please ensure hats are clearly marked with your student’s name.

Jewellery & Hair

JEWELLERY

Students may wear one plain watch.

Students with pierced ears are permitted to wear one pair of plain sleepers or studs, one in each ear.

Necklaces, rings, bracelets or any other jewellery/accessories are not allowed at any time as they pose a safety risk.

Adornments other than TSS school badges are not to be worn with the uniform.

HAIR

Students’ hair must be neat and tidy and of natural hair colouring only.

Hair below the collar must to be tied back.

Hair ties, clips etc should be in school colours or sports house colours on Sports Days.

Fringes should be away from the eyes.

No extreme haircuts for example; tracks, mohawks or extreme shaving; make-up and/or nail polish are not to be worn (false fingernails pose a safety hazard);
