A strong inclusive education focus, along with highly proficient teachers, strong leadership and exceptional support staff, ensures an environment that is focused on delivering successful​​​ learning for your child.

Taabinga State School is located in Kingaroy. We are an innovative learning community that engages students in deep and meaningful learning experiences. We aim to provide our students with skills required to ensure they are innovative, resilient, philanthropic and respected global citizens and leaders of the future. Our school community is passionate about ensuring that each student experiences success each day.

Our teachers have high expectations for our students and are committed to continually improving their outcomes. Taabinga​ State School provides a learning environment that meets the learning needs of all students in an ever-changing world.

We are a PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) school. Our school expectations of Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be a Learner are evident in our school environment and in our classrooms. Our school boasts the most successful and largest primary instrumental program in the South Burnett and our program of excellence in Music offers the opportunity for students to participate in choir and recorder ensembles. Students perform at a range of events during the year including Kingaroy Eisteddfod, Mini Music Concerts and Christmas Carols.

Our school provides a range of opportunities for students during the school day including wide variety of extra curricular activities at lunch time and afterschool . Our Year 5 Positive Pals support our Prep students by ensuring they have an older student who looks out for them at school.

High quality teaching and learning programs provide inclusive and supportive classroom environments. Our teachers are supported by highly proficient teacher aides who deliver intervention in all areas for students and work as para-professionals in our school.


History of Taabinga State School ​​​​

Taabinga State School was originally named as Taabinga Village State School when it opened in 1897. In July 1961 the school was renamed Taabinga State School when it was moved into Kingaroy and opened at Railway Terrace.

The school is located 3 kms from the local business centre of Kingaroy on the southern outskirts of the town.
